Květnový Balast pod čarou přivítal profesora Hillela Kievala z Washingtonské univerzity v St. Louis, který se dlouhodobě věnuje dějinám českých Židů. V letním semestru učil na Filozofické fakultě, vydal nedávno svou novou knihu o údajných rituálních vraždách, a obdržel od děkanky stříbrnou medaili FF UK. Právě o jeho životě v Praze, vzpomínkách, jak se v 70. letech učil česky, a také samozřejmě o jeho výzkumu v českých zemích je tento bonusový díl.
The May Balast pod čarou (Ballast Below the Line) welcomed Professor Hillel Kieval of Washington University in St. Louis, who has long been a scholar of the history of Czech Jews. He taught at the Faculty of Arts during the summer semester, recently published his new book on alleged ritual murders, and received a silver medal from the Dean of the Faculty of Arts. The interview bonus episode is about his life in Prague, his memories of learning Czech in the 1970s, and of course his research in the Czech lands.
